ArtSpam Favourites: July 2026
This month has been pretty fun. I’ve been madly busy as I’ve managed to buy a flat, and so I’m up to my eyeballs in interior design stuff because I do not joke around with wallpaper and matching paint. Oh, and fabrics too. I have the vision, and now I need to execute it;). But back to the art stuff, it’s been an exciting time; the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition is on, and it’s always fun to see a mix of professional career artists mell beautifully with semi-professional or down-and-out amateur artists. But it must also be said, it's summer and the art world tends to wind down round about now; there is a lack of new exhibitions because it’s the summer holidays. People are too busy sunning themselves in Tuscany instead of strolling around Mayfair on a Saturday afternoon… such is life, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t some cracking art to be seen.
