ArtSpam Favourites: January 2026

So this is coming in a little bit late… I get it. Apologies. The artworld has been a little bit quiet in January. Its post christmas, and while a few galleries will be launching new shows, not everyone is. The artworld is a-changing. In recent times, Stephen Friedman gallery announced that it will shut its doors and go into insolvency; it all happened in the space of a week. It seems like the art world in London isn’t shrinking, it’s adapting. It’s becoming more conscious as to what they show, who they show and why. Galleries are set to launch new shows in March… Maybe February if we’re lucky. But unless youre one of the big institutions, things are tough. It is now a question of ‘survival of the fittest’ and a damn lot of luck. So, without much further ado, here are the inaugural #ArtSpamFavourites for January 2026
